I am 3 weeks post cs, and have been bathing my wound with tee tree oil. Got a new bottle, diff make, and bathed the same.

I have now very badly burnt my wound and surrounding area sad

What can I put on it now make it feel better, and not so burnt?

The wound itself is now closed, but was bathing it to just to help aid healing.

Just showering it with plain water for now, just to cool it down.

oh no!

NEVER put an essential oil on your skin neat.

it always needs a carrier oil when being applied to the skin.

jojoba oil is a good carrier oil because it is much akin to the body's natural sebum level and it doesn't go rancid.

in your case you might wish to try bio-oil instead.

don't know what you can do to 'unburn' it. I put arnica cream on mine and it healed well.

blimey, I used to just put a couple of drops in my bath!

I was rinsing a baby wipe with water, making it very wet and putting a few drops of tee tree oil on this, and putting onto wound, inside knickers.

sad bugger

I would use pure unrefined shea butter to soothe it and in future use the tea tree oil in a carrier oil.

I would also say that bio-oil might be a good idea.

expat's right, Bio-oil is very soothing.

thanks, I will get some tomoz. Does that go straight onto skin?

yes, it can go straight onto the skin.
