Persistant pain in my calf/ankle

I have recently started a new job which involves alot of walking and running, it is doing me good as i was very unfit before but the last couple of weeks i have a persistant pain in my lower calf/ankle which definately isn't a muscular type pain, and i haven't damaged it or anything.

It is like a tissue/flesh type pain but in one place only and is starting to irritate me alot, is it worth going the GP do you think?

definitely worth getting checked out if it has been like that for a couple of weeks

is your calf hot or swollen? does it feel crampy?

get to the GP if only to rule it out

Rubyslippers...Was there any other signs?

It just feels like i have got a knife stuck in the fleshy part of my ankle.
