Best to get one from the docs if you can.

Um I know this sounds uncomfortable but I think suppositories work best. They are effective within 15 mins and they dont turn your intestines to liquid and give you cramps like the tablets do!

Senokot. I had it when I was on regular opiate painkillers 4-5 years ago and it was great.

Its gentle, natural and the one usualy prescribed by Paeds for constipated kids (including my ds - he calls it "bottom medicine")

Hope you can sort it out - its horrible being "stuck".

Or - a more pleasant alternative (at least while you're consuming it) is Thornton's Diabetic Toffee.

Trust me. The polyols (sugar substitutes) really work. And don't eat the whole packet. Really.

I can guarantee that it will work!

It does give you terrible wind and, if you eat to much, (and you're not constipated in the first place), really bad diarrhoea. I had it so badly that I pulled a muscle in my stomach

Golden linseeds, available from health shops. Add one tablespoon full to your morning breakfast cereal. Effect guaranteed - and it's totally painless.
