sorry, I know I have been pathetically dying all week with tonislitis, but i do feel rough and scared today.

have woken up with a massive headache, but it is not at the front of myu head (my eyes feel ok at least)....this feels as tho I have been wacked with a baseball bat (I am assuming here, not actually ever been hit to compare) at the back of my head. to more my head, look side to side, up, down, sends shotting pains down my back and thro my head. i really hurts.

it also feel as tho someone is trying to pull my ribs apart......i wonder if that is to do with being so sick the other dasy, and so pulling a muscle, but surely that pain should start to ease now and it isn't.

am currently lying back in bed, resting my head on several pillows and proppeing my laptop on my raised knees, and the pain is still bad....oh, and my chin feels as tho someone is holdng it in a vice (weird, but odd).

i am on eurythromicin double stretgnth, could that be a side effect?? feel all wibbly too when i walk.

i feel so mean on the kiddies tho. they have been fab, don;t get me wrong, but normally we are so busy and have plans each day, and so far this week it has all gone to pot and they have had to ammuse themselves....and with two boys being the youngest, they are going more than a little stir crazy! hey ho, net week we should be oing away again to the PILs caravan in weymouth...they will get lots of playtime there.

argh......i want this headache to go.

tonsillitis is miserable.

can you take aspirin? gargling it helps lots with the throat pain, which is probably contributing to your headache.

psychomum5 · 14/08/2008 09:33

i took anadin extra the other day with aspring in, and felt odd, so have stuck with co-codomol since.

someone else suggested gargling actually the other day, but i confess i am a baby when it come to trying that......feel as tho i am dorwning.

TBH, my throat is not as bad now as it was the other day.....feels very strange, but not as tho I am trying to swollow glass anymore (still feels like i have golf balls tho). tis the headache today that is the worst thing (behind the ribs even and they are agony....breathing is a chore too).

no idea about ribs. it really feels as tho someone is either pulling them apart, or somehting is underneath them pushing them out IYGWIM.

I suffered rib issues after my last car accident (ligaments swelled), and am beginning to wonder is me being poorly has triggered something again??

even painkillers are not touching the rib pain, which is saying something.......agony either way, so am now not taking anyhting as tummy lining feels very tender now from the antibiotics and sickness.

maybe I am falling apart at the seams and needing chopping up and remaking!

am thinking you are indeed implying that I have 'gone off'.

mind, the kiddies and DH reckon I must have, hence the poorlyness right now!!!

I feel better.....not over it and ok, but better

rib pain still there tho, and there is no way in hell I would attempt wearing a bra......even a support vest I have tried has hurt.

head is ok, throat feels strange (as tho somehting is stuck), but not glass swollow hurt anymore, and I am also terminally thirsty (I cannot drink enough....thirst never leaves at the moment!), but, compared to the beginning of the week, I am on the mend.

just wish I knew why my ribs hurt so damn much!!

I'm thinking so too. the only thing I wonder is if the ilness has triggered the muscles/ligament to go into spasm in some way.

altho, it really does feel as tho something underneath is pushing them apart......argh.

thankyou for asking tho, feels nice to be cared about

Hi Psycho, I'm sorry you've been so ill this week, it sounds as if it is really lingering. I think your rib pain could be related to all the throwing up you've been doing, I once went to the docs thinking I was having a heart attack as I had severe chest pain but it turned out I had pulled muscles being sick. I think also that your body could be shedding some of the previous injuries to your ribs, the Bowen would have set that off and it's just a total arse that you got this illness on the back of your first treatment. I have a very gentle technique for headaches so I'm happy to help if I can but totally understand if you want to just rest easy and get over this damned tonsilitis - are the anti-biotics working do you think? Hope today is an easier day for you.
