ds has glasses for asstigmatism as far as I'm aware he isn't short sighted though and at his last appointment he seemed to be able to read the chart better

I had glasses at 7 for short sightedness and astigmatism but it was 30 years ago so probably not much help...

dd (now 6) has had glasses for long sightedness and astigmatism since she was about 3.5.
The astigmatism is improving.
ds has worn glasses for long sightedness only since he was about 5.5. He really depends on his and won't be without them. dd needs nagging to wear hers.

Has he got a very slight squint? dd appears to be developing one (and a lazy eye) probably cos I don't nag enough to keep her wearing her glasses. I was patched (with glasses) for a slight squint and lazy eye at around age 5.5. I also had an op to correct the squint. Have no problems now and do not wear glasses.

my 5 year old nephew has glasses to correct his vision for a lazy eye. had them for about 18 months now, also had around 10 sets of glasses in that time too as either he or his brother end up breaking them somehow

DD (2) has been wearing glasses for nearly a year to correct long-sightedness and squint. She seems to like having them on--maybe that's because she was so young when she first got them.

dd has had glasses since she was about 18 months - she is long sighted and had a squint. She did some patching which improved the sight in her left eye but the squint wasnt corrected by her glasses and she had a squint correction op about a month ago. Her squint is very much improved and she still wears glasses - is now 4.9 years.
