i asked dh to get me some from boots (he ended up getting lots as it was 3 for 2) but when i read the leaflet it said you cant take it if you are on the pill!

does anyone know any more about this?

my pill leaflet mentioned it too.

i dont actually like my pill, am thinking of changing it anyway, are there any pills i can take with st johns wort?

I came off the pill - went straight onto St John's Wort ... and DH had the snip ....

Just for the record our sexlife took a turn for the better .... I put it down to coming off the pill .... I feel fab ...

Good Luck and have ( safe ) fun

the pill is the reason to every single problem i have. i am sure of it.

and st johns wort is the answer, along with a better form of contraception

i think the problem with the combined pill and other types of medication (dunno about mini-pill) is that the SJW makes the liver process meds a bit quicker than usual - ie. go out of your body sooner, and be a bit less effective. which you obviously don't want with the pill. IIRC it also has the same type of interaction with AZT, amongst other medications.
