blood in semen...

has anyones dh had this?? Dh has just confessed the past 3/4 times we have done the deed his semen has been either very pink or light red colour. He is scared to to go the gp so wondered if anyone had any experience of this?

It says in the large majority of cases it is a benign and self limiting condition, but better just to ask GP.

Has he had a knock in that general area?? My DH had an episode of this, scared us half to death, but remembered later sitting on his "2 veg" rather awkardly and DD had accidently kicked him there.

Seems that it is rarely anything serious but worth seeing the gp just on the safe side.

I've heard that it's usually benign as well but your dh does need to go see his GP, Use a bit of emotional blackmail on him and tell him to think of his children etc etc. It's probably nothing - but a reassuring and positive expereience on this occasion may mean he's more likely to brave it if he has any lumps or blood or stuff in the future and that might mean he goes to the GP early when it really, really matters.

thanks all have told him to get it checked out especially as prostate probs run in his family etc..anyways he is refusing to go[head in the sand emoticon]
He says he did get a knock from the dds who have a tendancy to jump on him a lot

if he has a family prostate history he must get at least an annual PSA test, just to track where it is now/later

look up a local Well Man service if he's embarrassed

ask him how he would feel if you had a breast lump and refused to get it checked. Most breast lumps are benign - but we still need a medical opinion and this is just the same.
