I was starting to panick this evening when I saw it (friend looked after her this morning said their was a strange black/green one).

Have calmed down a bit now - do you reckon it is from the Dr Who Tardis birthday cake ie loads of dark blue icing?????

Green poo is poo that has passed through the digestive system too quickly (the green is bile I believe which normally goes brown as it passes through the gut). So of itself, it is not a reason to worry but it does suggest that something rushed through your dd's gut more quickly than normal. Too much birthday cake maybe?

Perhaps too much icing I think - one of those premade things.

If it's not that then I'm panicking!! She had two pieces on Sunday and one this evening so I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings (literally)

When my youngest was little (ie in nappies) he was always doing green poo. I remember panicking with my first when he had one green poo but because my youngest was my fourth, I knew it was "normal" if not very nice. I guess this is one of those things you learn about with experience!

I take it she is fine in herself otherwise?

yes she seems fine but has had problems with strep A but I'm really hoping that dark blue icing could do something significant????

My children have done green poo after eating a highly coloured birthday cake!

I'm sure it is probably that.

I overheard in a cake decorating shop the other day that blue colouring is the worst one for artificial colourings etc. It does sound like it was the icing. Stay away from tardises in future!
