yup - try and head it off though by drinking loads of water, gargling with TCP (bleughhh but sometimes works) gargling with salty water - pray to the gods you dont - i will pray for you too Tonsililtus is evil .
yes, there is a viral and a bacterial strain. you could gargle with a bit of tea tree if you have any ? just don't swallow

viral you would have inflammationbacterial you would have the white spots and pusor so i was told by hosp when ds had it when he was 6 mths hope you feel better soon
I didn't know it was contagious! I get it a couple of times a year. Ice cream and ice lollies are the way forward.

and if you are really lucky you will have inflammation and white spots!Gargle with soluble aspirin or paracetamol, and drink plenty of water etc.
