My little boy had emergency appedix op today!

....thats after I took him to A&E this morning as I wasn't happy with him to have him checked and was told by A&E doctor it was 99% constipation!

Thankfully they did a blood test to be sure, and 2 hours later it came back showing an infection and his temp had shot up.

By 5pm they had removed a very inflamed appedix and by 7 he was complaining of hunger and eating toast!

Daddy is staying with him tonight.

Such a day of emotions....felling stupid for wasting A&E for constipation, then worry, then sobbing when he went to theatre to complete relief now.

Eve. Poor little mite. It sounds as though he's on the mend though. Hopefully he'll be back home asap.

Oh Eve, hope he's feeling much better now. Did they do keyhole or traditional surgery?

keyhole...such a tiny cut, I put bigger plasters on sore fingers.

My mums very cross, she doesn't have a high opinion of medical profession and thinks they are too quick to not listen and try and get you out.

Hope your son feels better soon,
How are you feeling now? it's so horrible when they go down to theatre, the emotions you go through are simple awful, hope you get a good night's sleep yourself, it shouldn't be long before he's home again.

How scary for you, Eve!! So glad to hear they diagnosed him quickly and whipped it out.

He sounds a very resilient little boy! Hope he continues to make a speedy recovery.
