hope it makes them feel better

hoxtonchick Sat 08-Jan-05 17:51:43

really not too bad, & so lovely afterwards. kind of tickles. have they given you drops to put in first? if not, a few drops of olive oil each night before you go to bed makes a big difference.

lowcalCOD Sat 08-Jan-05 17:52:23

am quite hope ful it will be really relieving
like bleeding a radiator!

JanH Sat 08-Jan-05 17:53:10

Are you putting warm oil in every day to soften the wax?

It's a funny sensation but as long as they use warmish water and don't suck too hard it's fine, and the difference afterwards is incredible.

You do get rebound wax production though so you get clogged up quicker.

hoxtonchick Sat 08-Jan-05 17:53:33

ewwwwww. have you got drops? wax needs to be soft or they send you away again which is v frustrating

lowcalCOD Sat 08-Jan-05 17:53:54

ah think its because I use earplugs at night to deadent he noise of dh's snoring

hoxtonchick Sat 08-Jan-05 17:53:56

you & i agree jan!

lowcalCOD Sat 08-Jan-05 17:54:17

yes mas atrting wiht olive oil tonight

JanH Sat 08-Jan-05 17:55:22

Olive oil is fine but it does need to be warm - you can buy a little bottle of earwax oil with a dropper (forget its brand name) and you can stand that in a cup of hot water for a few minutes first and then drop it in, it's the easiest way unless you have a dropper already?

lowcalCOD Sat 08-Jan-05 17:55:52

ooh, it's a top sensation when everything starts pouring out. make sure whoever does it lets you see in the bowl afterwards. i got long skeins of pale brown ectoplasm. and a few nuggety bits.

having my ears syringed is one of my fondest memories of my honeymoon (i got ear infection from all the swimming). and honeymooon was lovely

lowcalCOD Sat 08-Jan-05 18:55:27

tmi Sat 08-Jan-05 18:59:13

(changed my name for this) I had a colonic and was really, really looking forward to peering at the "results" but they wouldn't show me! Spoilsports - and I didn't lose tons of weight either.
