I know that funds are always limited, but I just don't understand why places like this receive NO govt funding.

Francis House in Manchester is another - there was a TV prog about it the other day (called Kirsty's Millions, it was on just after the BBC Sports Personality awards).

Francis House does get some funding - from the Health Authority, not the Govt. - 17 days' worth...
