Misdee - thinking of you, we've been here too, if you can tell his heart failure is worse, why can't they???! Push to get the cardio involved, hope the O2 is helping a bit, and he's not having to work at it too hard. X

misdee (((hugs))) Thinking of you and your Dh. Hope all is well soon and he can come home.

i had to force the ambulace people to take him, as they wanted to just get the gp out.

his cardiomogist said last week that episodes like this are an indiction of heart failure. why wont they listen to us? x-ray shows how large his heart is (its covering most of the left lung), but they wont do any more tests than they can get away with. if they discharge him tomorrow then i'll be phoning his cardiologist.

Just seen this Hope you are ok.I know what its like that sudden drop everything and go to hospital. His bp is probably low from dehydration from all the sickness I often have a raised white count(infection)but no sign of where they just give antibiotics in case.when you have a weak heart you catch everything Hope you have someone to help you out and sometimes being admitted is a quick way of getting some action

Report
noddyholder · 14/12/2004 21:44

crossed posts please don't let them discharge him

Report
misdee · 14/12/2004 21:53

there is no signs of any infection, no raised white blood count. only sign is the temp and vomiting. the vomiting could be caused by fluid build up in his chest/stomache due to bad heart function.

maybe i should become a doc.

no we dont. i think it may be time to have a machine fitted, as these episodes are coming very often now. i dont fancy having bottles of O2 about. guess we're gonna become very well equipped here at some point.

If it keeps him out of hospital (where he's more likely to catch something iffy), it might be worthwhile misdee. Hope he's home soon. X

You can get a special machine fitted that takes in the Co2 in the air and then it pumps out o2, Emma had one fitted for Daniel

Report
misdee · 14/12/2004 22:12

i know. how do i go about getting one fitted?

You need to shout loudly and often in the direction of his cardiologist misdee. Make a nuisance of yourself.

I ain't sure I could ask Emma

Report
misdee · 14/12/2004 22:15

Yea, she has three days off. I'll ask her then, seeing I have no credit left (as someone used it all) so I can't text her
