teeth whitening question?

I have been to the dentist to get my tooth whitening kit - had impressions done last week.

Anyway, I did what he Dentist said applied a small amount of the whitening stuff into the gum shield thingys and left them on for half an hour as directed.

Two questions, 1) am I supposed to brush my teeth as soon as I take the gum shields off? I can't remember the dentist saying. 2) my teeth feel really sensitive and its only been one application, I am dreading doing it tomorrow but don't want to give up just yet as I have paid £200 for this treatment. Did anyone experience this and will it pass?

Oh, and will it be ok for me to drink white wine tonight? or am I being a little bit optimistic?

Thanks.

If they are feeling really sensitive maybe you should leave it on for a bit less time next time...worth checking with your dentist but that's what we recommend to people who get sensitivity ( i work for a dentist). Not sure about the other question I'm afraid! x

I did this and stopped after two nights! I was gutted as had spent £250. The dentist said this would happen but I did not realise how bad it would be!! Also, after using it for only two nights one of my fillings fell out! Do not know if it was related.

You are supposed to brush your teeth after taking it off. Also, the dentist advised me to change to a sensitive toothpaste which I did not do because could not stand it!

i had zoom whitening done, i know what u mean about the sensitivity, i havnt been able to carry on with the home treatment he gave me, far to painful, try using sensodyne as a cream, like rub it into your teeth with ur finger, white wine will be fine, but stay away from tea coffee red wine etc
