I have had this lump in the back of my throat for a while now. It isn't painful but it is irritating.
I do have trouble with my sinuses and think I probably have yet another sinus infection.
So maybe it is something to do with that? 🤷‍♀️
I'm just curious to know. Does anyone have a clue??

What is this?

Tonsil stone? Have you given it a poke?

It looks like a tonsil stone - prod it with a cotton bud and it should pop out.

I thought it might be a tonsil stone so I have poked and prodded, but it doesn't seem to want to budge!

I didn't want to be too rough with it in case I was wrong.

I also think it looks like a tonsil stone

I'd get some tweezers and get it out. I don't see what else it could be.

Possible tonsil stone, or an abscess.

If it doesn't come out as solid material, you may need antibiotics.

Doesn't look like a tonsil stone to me, looks like skin is over it. There was a thread on here recently with similar and it was a cyst

I'd go to GP with it. You don't want to be prodding your throat yourself on Christmas week and making trouble for yourself with a sore mouth.

It could be a mucus retention cyst. Usually formed if a lot of mucus gets trapped like from post nasal drip, tooth/gum abscess or sore throat that wasn't treated on time. It will go away on its own but can take months. I have one on my tonsils right now . Had it for a good 10 months.

Please! Were you able to identify what it was and what did you do about it?
