Does this sound like exhaustion ?

Sorry to moan as I’m well aware that everyone’s had a brutal year
But as I entered Nov and now dec I’ve got this thing that when I get to normal life for a few days I get exhausted and can’t do anything
This years been pretty crazy
Working FT in a sales role
Single parent
Fairly challenging stuff with kids (but improving , ish)
Some major things breaking down needing to be fixed at great expense
Work politics (which upset me )
I’m now like a Victorian who’s ‘taken to their bed’ as every time I have a few normal days I relapse and feel sick again (aches , headache , dizzy)

Does anyone else feel like this ?

Mentally I’m OK but I feel like my body’s had enough

It sounds like you’ve got a helluva lot on your plate, but having to take to your bed every few days doesn’t sound normal, or like something you should put up with, especially if you’re trying to care for children. Feeling vaguely tired each day when you’re rushed off your feet is one thing, taking to your bed with dizziness and nausea is another.
I’d suggest you book a GP appointment and make sure they’re aware you’re a single parent, so that they know you’re caring for children while going through this. They can assess you and see if they can identify a physical problem. I hope you find an answer and things improve for you x

I think it does. Your body is telling you what your mind refuses to listen to.

I think everyone does at some point but you know your body and if this is different from the usual "I'm done in" then your right to ask for help.

I’m sure many people are feeling overwhelmed this year, but if it’s taking a huge toll on your health it’s worth getting checked out. While you’re waiting for the break to come up, you could invest in a multivitamin with vitamin D and iron, in case it is a deficiency of some kind. It’ll take a few weeks to make a difference, so the sooner you start the better. Also try to work out what your main priorities are and what can slide, to see if you can free some time up to rest. Going to bed earlier if possible could also help, to give you extra time to rest.
