My period was tailing off at the beginning of the week, and I forgot about it and left my mooncup in for 24 hours from Monday - Tuesday (the last time I used it). I've had a terrible headache and a bit of nausea since yesterday morning, and got up to be sick a couple of times in the night. That's it though - no fever or any other symptoms at all. I'd be wasting the GP's time wouldn't I? It sounds more like a bug, though I have no idea where I'd have got it from as I haven't been anywhere. I thought TSS came on quite suddenly but I've been feeling the same for 24 hours now. Would you call the GP or not?

I would yes, they are symptoms of TSS but could be something else. Get a telephone appointment today or ring 111.

I would check to be on the safe side.

I had TSS and it was bloody awful. I went from fine to feeling really poorly in the space of about 10 minutes. I was delirious, I swelled up and looked like I had sunburn.

I think you'd be worse if it was TSS but better to be on the safe side.

Thanks ladies, still feeling exactly the same so I'll give the GP a call. Sorry to hear that you had it @Eileithyiaa, it sounds horrible and quite a scary thing to have Sad

Did you Manage to speak to a GP @Henetty245

I did, thanks @OverTheRainbow88. The GP was quite confident that it's not TSS, but I've got to ring back or call 111 if any new or worsening symptoms. Funnily enough I've felt perfectly fine since the phone call! Fingers crossed it was just something I ate Smile
