I posted the other week about a couple of bruises that appeared on my leg for no reason. Someone suggested anaemia.

Hate going to the doc. Dh thinks I should as now I feel really really wiped out, breathless, glands are up under my arms & neck. I've got a couple of mouth ulcers - get them a lot.Sometimes have a pain (not agonising) below my ribs on the left. Could that all be down to aneamia? No more bruises although my kness & ankles ache?! Or is just a vrius an therefore pointless visit to GP?

I should go. Tell me to be assertive - GP is lovely, but he has a habit of not listening or else starts chatting to my children half way through.

Write everything down that you want to say, and don't be afraid to read through the list when you are in with the GP. I have to do this or I come out forgetting to have asked something.

I've made an appointment for tomorrow morning. There's a locum tomorrow. I should get over my fear of doctors - I always get so shakey! Thanks for telling me to go.

Well not got very far. Still feeling rubbish. I'd met locum before with one of the children and remembered her being a tad useless. She looked at legs - bruise appeared last night - not as good as the others had been. She felt my tummy - didn't hurt then, but is now which is typical. Blood pressure 130 over 90 - not sure what that means.
She didn't listen to my chest which I was surprised at as I said I was very breathless and sometimes have a pain on the right as I breathe. Felt like a total hypochondriac listing all these things. Anyway, she filled in a form for a full blood test and I went to book appointment with nurse ..... Only one was slap bang in middle of my ds2's harvest festival tomorrow. It's his last one at the village school and he has loads of lines, so I couldn't miss it. Next one is on Monday, so I've gone for that - how long does it take for results usuallY?

Feel so blookdy knackered now!

Well done for going. At least she's arranged a blood test. That will give her a better picture of how you are. Results usually take a week or more but sometimes the surgery contact you earlier if need be.

Enjoy the harvest festival.
