Lump in embarrassing place and health anxiety.

I’m really looking for reassurance to be honest as I’m really struggling with health anxiety which I’ve had before. It’s crippling, I’m struggling to function at the moment. As a previous poster said the only respite I get from it is when I’m asleep. I’m not eating much as my anxiety impacts on my appetite.

I have found a small lump just inside my anus. It is about the size of a small pea and solid. I have seen the dr and she examined me and said it feels like a pile and to apply pike cream for a couple of weeks. If it doesn’t go I need to call and she will refer me for a camera up there.

It’s been two weeks at applying the cream and I don’t think there’s any change and I’m terrified. I will phone the dr next week, but I’m looking for some sort of reassurance whilst I wait.

I would go back could just be hemeroid,. I think coming on here and asking could be worse for your anxiety you don,t want every one scare mongering with the rare or worse cases. Make a gp appointment tomorow.

How are you getting on flythedragons? I had a spot on my lady parts (cringe) and even googled vagina cancer! I think mine is a cyst. Its good you were able to get a doctor to look at the lump, how is it now? When you're aware of these lumps/aches etc you generally focus on them a lot more and bother them by poking them etc.
Can totally relate to how you feel with health anxiety, mines absolutely dreadful at the moment unfortunately.
