I checked my temperature this morning as I felt unwell and very hot and when I went to the bathroom my face was very red as if I had sunburn so I used my baby’s thermometer and it said 37.7, I turned it off and checked again and 37.7. I took a shower which I felt way to hot as if I was about to faint! I got out checked my temp again so it was around 1 hour from the first check and again 37.7! Is this High?

it's on the higher side but not classed as a fever. 37.8 is a mild fever in an adult so 37.7 is just nudging the lower end of the fever scale

Ok thank you! I had a Fever a few weeks ago but that was 38.4 and the doctors were worried then and treated me with antibiotics So I was unsure what the bottom end of a fever would be classed as

It would be high for me. I took mine almost daily in March / April.

This piece in New scientist indicates average human temperature is actually going down.

I think it is a bit high but can be normal for some people? I also took mine a lot in March/April and it was alway 37.6-37.8 and as far as I know I was never ill. Just done again and it is 37.7

It would be high for me, I would feel feverish with that temperature. Mine is usually 36.7 or thereabouts.

I had a month at the start of lockdown of my temperature going up every evening after is been ill (possibly post-Covid, who knows). It would be around 37.4-37.7, and would make me feel a bit rubbish but not properly ill.

After my high temp last time I was give medicine to bring it down and when it was down it was 36.8 and they were happy with that and that seamed to be my normal temperature

When I was in hospital with an infection, they wouldn’t have been happy with that temp. They wanted it below 37.3 or .4

If you still have a temp now, I would suggest a Covid test

I have to take everyone's temperature everyday at work and it's amazing how everyone has their own normal. I am usually hovering around the middle 37's (I have hot flushes now due to my age so put it down to that!) but some of the other staff are always around 35. If anyone hits 37.8 they get sent home.

I don’t think it’s Covid as I keep getting infections in my gallbladder as I’m waiting for surgery to remove it and it hurts every day so I would say it’s that again
