Someone calm me down (fit test and neck lumps)

Hey. So my husband has had three lumps on his neck (hairline area) for about two months now... he's had blood tests and it's coming back that his iron is slightly low. Dr said that he wouldn't have done anything with it if it weren't for the lumps... so he has requested hub to do a fit test and an ultrasound on the neck. So of course worrier me is now freaking out thinking why on earth are they checking for bowel cancer 😫😫. The lumps I think have gone down slightly. The dr also said his iron could be like that because he gives blood. He did say he thinks the fit test will be negative. Then why do it 😣😣

Why do it.....to be thorough and rule out all possible causes of low iron? You should be grateful they are being so thorough!
