I didn’t know where to put this one as I have no idea what’s going on.

My mood last week was terrible. Just getting so angry and moody at things for no reason (to the point where I can’t deal with it).

On Friday night I felt a migraine coming on (On par with the full moon like clockwork!!) and stupidly took cocodamol. I know they make my head worse. Cue bad head where I had to stay in the dark and full on nausea. Usually they are quite mild and only last a few hours or sometimes in to the next day. But I was pretty wiped out for the weekend, sleeping loads, feeling teary, feeling lonely, being horrible to everyone in the house!

I had a full on breakdown yesterday I just felt so sad and upset and I cried for pretty much the full day, it had my moods so off balance I literally couldn’t stop the floods!

I’ve apologised to my partner For being snappy and moody and told him that I was struggling so much and I didn’t know whether it was migraine related or not. Are changes in mood Or hormone levels normal With migraines?

I’m still very tired and groggy now and my face is still very sore sinus areas.

I think more people than not experience mood changes as part of the migraine package.
My family often join the dots before I do that one is on the way if my mood is odd.
I think you need to recharge today if you can. I'm always knackered afterwards, so if you can have a sofa and Netflix day then do it. 🍰☕

I’m working from home so I can take it easy and from my bed. I’ve been homeschooling my Dd and been so impatient with her too I feel so bad!

Totally sympathise. I'm on daily medication now but I still have to be extra careful and do all the right things to avoid one. All you can do is apologise to your family and be upfront about how you're feeling and the impact of the migraine. I get really tearful when I lose a weekend to one and it's a horrible feeling.

How often are you getting migraines? Have you seen the Doctor to try some other types of pain relief?

Apart from two occular ones I had when I was younger (years apart), I have been getting them for about over a year now. I’ve had a year or two of bad health though (constant colds, viral infections) And my sinuses have been bad since then so I just put them down to my sinuses. Also, my wisdom teeth have been pushing through and they affect everything don’t they? I’m on the waiting list to have them o but it’s been pushed back due to covid.

I think I get them every few weeks now, this one has seemed to be particularly bad however, is this a cause for concern Regarding I have the sinus and wisdom teeth issues?

I have apologised to my parter I am so deeply ashamed of how difficult I have been. I have a mood disorder too which doesn’t help. I don’t often realise how bad and unreasonable I am until much later on

Specialist Headaches nurse at my clinic said the best way to deal with things is lead a boring life. Get to bed same time, wake up same time, no long lies at weekends, don’t skip meals, eat regularly, take exercise, very little alcohol and try to laugh as much as you can. (I also found that too much sugar was a trigger. ) She also urged me to keep diary. Mine were hormonal and kicked in when I was about 25. A Fitbit that logs your sleep exercise and headaches I found useful. Mine have gone now.
