What is this on my hands?

Any ideas? Only shows like this after my hands have been wet. It's like little blisters on the palm and then bigger patches at the base of my fingers. Nothing anywhere else but both hands like this.

Not itchy or sore.

Looks like early stage of a fungus infection. Tinea manuum perhaps?

Thanks @LeGrandBleu any idea what I could get to treat it? Don't think I've ever had a fungal infection before.

I've been using sudocrem as I thought it might be burns from using alcohol hand gel so often. But it's not shifting.

Don't want to take up a docs appointment really.

If, and I want to stress the IF, it is a fungal infection you need an anti fungal cream. There are different types you can buy over the counter. Talk to a pharmacist or really do go and see a GP.
Never follow treatments suggested by strangers over the internet, no matter how knowledgable they sound.

Thank you. That's fine, I wouldn't follow any medical advice on here just thought there may have been something OTC that I could try rather than wasting an appointment.

I'll speak to the pharmacist this weekend.

(Sorry, didn't absolutely mean to offend you but sometimes here you see people following crazy advice and then come back that they have ruined an item. )

Now, back to your hands @Tequilamockinbird : have you been using a homemade hand sanitiser at home or work or a cheap one bought with homemade labels? Because I have also seen crazy recipes and most don't include hydrogen peroxide - which is listed on both the WHO recommended recipes. Hydrogen peroxide isn't included to protect against COVID but to avoid mould and other fungus from developing.

Here is the link to the only recipes one should follow www.who.int/gpsc/5may/Guide_to_Local_Production.pdf the quantity are for bigger production, so simply remove the last digit to make one litre and not ten.

Looks like Pompholyx, a type of eczema.

I get this when I'm stressed. Mine has been diagnosed as the type of eczema stated above. However mine is slightly itchy and sore.

Could it be hand, foot and mouth?

You could go to the pharmacy and show them, may not need a gp appointment.

I also get pompholyx eczema when stressed and have it now!

Would suggest talking to a pharmacist as a start.

Have you had any contact with hedgehogs ? Legit question

No contact with hedgehogs. Have been using hand sanitizer from Bath & Body works and also their hand soap. Could be a reaction to that I guess?

Spoke to pharmacist yesterday who said he had no idea what it was and suggested speaking to GP.

Going to try and get an appointment this week. When my hands are dry, they look fine though. See photo.

Our gp is doing online stuff. You fill in a form and then get a call back. Can upload photos too, from memory. The link is on the practice website.

Gp friends want people to use it.

@Tequilamockinbird I had a look at the ingredients and it is soooo long. Would it be possible to find a simpler one? and if you are using their soap as well, again a very long list of chemicals used several times per day.

@LeGrandBleu ah thank you for having a look. Appreciate that.

I have been out today actually and bought some Carex aloe Vera hand soap so I'm going to try that. Couldn't find any hand sanitizer though but tbh I don't go many places so will try and just use the hand soap for a while.

In the meantime, I discovered that my GP has an e-consult service (thanks to poster who suggested that), so I've filled it in and attached photos. Apparently I should get a response from a GP by Tuesday 5pm so will see what they say.
