So about 5/6 years ago I started suffering IBS symptoms, did an elimination diet stupidly before tests (but I was desperate for relief, found it was gluten causing the issues), had lots of blood tests and an endoscopy to check for Coeliac but came back negative and they diagnosed me with IBS possible gluten sensitivity.
I accepted the diagnosis, although female in late 20's at the time, I was convinced it was Coeliac but what can you do?
So I just cut down the gluten to nothing, took buscopan when I slowly reintroduced gluten and had pain, but made sure to never have huge amounts of the stuff.
Anyway, it all flared up at the start of this lockdown, came off the gluten 100% I was only having 2 slices of toast in the morning. It was so bad I had to have a liquid diet for 2 days until all pain went.
I thought I'd recovered and had a bit of toast to only suffer threefold afterwards and it hadn't stopped 😠it's not massively painful anymore but it's CONSTANT. I wake up in the morning with it, like a stomach ache kind of feeling. It's not relieved by bowel movements.
I'm wondering if it's more than IBS like maybe an ulcer?
It's exactly where my belly button is. Feels at the moment like somethings being tugged?
It's been like this for about 1-2wks. Buscopan doesn't help, neither does peppermint tea.
