Lockdown fatigue?

I've read a few articles that say this is a thing but seems to be mostly down to stress, anxiety and loss of routine. I am suffering so badly, getting 8-9 hours sleep a night, sometimes more, sleeping really well, but having to drag myself out of bed in a morning. I've my always been a morning person but this is a real struggle! I've got routine as I'm working from home fulltime, taking a break away from my desk at lunch, exercising outside every day, eating regular meals, drinking maybe a bit more alcohol than usual but trying to reduce that (and it doesn't seem to relate to the tiredness)......I just feel like I could spend all day napping!! Is anyone else suffering like this or could there be something else contributing?

Try cutting out alcohol completely and drinking a lot more water

Are you eating well? Could you have got a bit carb heavy, which can make you feel lethargic?

I'm the same, though not in such good habits as you.

I think our brains are working overtime wrestling with everything that's going on, and wearing us out!

How about some active meditation? Mindfulness, really forcibly relaxing your mind and concentrating on your breathing etc. That may help you process what's happening and leave you feeling more refreshed.

I eat pretty well, loads of fresh fruit and veg, cook from scratch apart from the occasional pizza. Possibly a bit carb heavy but I'm trying to snack less as I'm conscious I'm doing less exercise than I would normally.
I'm not really into meditation and stuff but I don't feel stressed, I feel the opposite, less stressed than I've ever been in my life cos I'm not running round from here to there and trying to cram too much into a day! My brain feels like it's barely working at all and really struggling with work motivation.

Maybe you needed the rest? Your body is just reacting as though it's a holiday?

I've had times where I thought I had a physical or mental health issue and actually I was just really tired. Equally it could be a sign of a vitamin or mineral deficiency or an underlying issue. I would wait to see how it resolves.

When working try moving around at regular intervals. Before you start do some running on the spot, 15 minutes later do some star jumps, 15 minutes after that have a stretch. Etc. Or even better, a standing desk or sit on a Pilates ball.

Yeah I did wonder if I was maybe just tired, it seems to have gone on a long time though! I wish I was on holiday! I think I miss the energy from other people too, I’m used to always being on the go so I’ve probably had some sort of adrenaline crash. I move every hour cos my Fitbit buzzes at me.
