Vitamin D

For reference, I am over 60, ethnic minority, with stage 3b kidney disease. I would like to take a vitamin d +k2 supplement but I don't know if it will adversely affect my kidneys. Is anyone here in the same category, and have you been advised to take Vit D? If so, what dosage do you take? TIA.

Any advice from a renal specialist will be gratefully received. I have tried to ask my own surgery online but the questionnaire makes it impossible to just ask a question, without listing symptoms. I have no symptoms, so I can't use the online form.
