Are there any dentists around who can set my mind at rest? Picture attached!

Desperate for reasssurance please!

I had a resin bonded bridge fitted in March- no preparation of teeth either side at all. The dentist x-rayed the supporting teeth. They have never been filled. One had a ‘blemish’ on it, but the dentist said it wasn’t a cavity and cleaned it off (no anaesthetic needed).

Anyway things have been fine so far, but as of about three days ago, the area is starting to ache. I’m frantic that there must be an issue with the supporting teeth- there is no way I’d be able to get it looked at for the foreseeable of course.
It kind of feels like the teeth are just bothered by the strain of supporting the new tooth- could that be it? Please tell me it’s too soon for decay to have started under it? I am absolutely scrupulous with cleaning the area, I have attached a photo of the inside view.
Oh, and I do grind at night. But I wear a soft mouth guard.

Your dentist might have a helpline you can call, and your dentist ring you back. They’ll be familiar with what procedure you had and your dental history and can offer advice.
Failing that, I rang 111 recently as i couldn’t get in touch with my own surgery. They were really helpful, offered advice and organised a call from the duty dentist who was excellent.
Sorry I’m not a dentist but I hope this is helpful.

Thank you MrsDrudge, that's a good idea. I had ruled out phoning for advice because it's non urgent, but perhaps you're right 😊

It’s probably high in the bite if no prep was done. It’s probably putting pressure on the supporting teeth. They will put blue paper in your mouth to see if it’s biting high. Phone up your local dental hospital.
I’m speaking from a dental tech perspective. Plus resin bonded bridges can be a cheap fix as it saves on dental lab fees. Please treat dentists like garages question everything if your not happy go else where.

Thank you Tasha, I'm inclined to think you're right- I'm not sure if that's something I'd be able to get checked out at the moment though- unless you know better?
