Because 'my friend' hates doing them as they make 'here' feel queer.

I thought I was only one who got a weird feeling when I do them

No not just you, they are horrible and make me want to stamp my feet and curl my toes.

I hate them too and have only done about 10 since DS was born.

No idea what would help though. Lots of sex? Or my preferred method, standing in very odd positions to avoid weeing myself.

they make me arch my back, screw my face up and close my eyes so tightly that I can hear the blood rushing in head.

So much for being able to do them 'discreetly' (as mentioned in ALL post-birth related mags, books etc). "No-one will know", my arse...

I wonder whether those cones would make a difference ? Having something to clamp against (eurgh) might stop the weird feeling.

I was thinkiong about those cone things today, they are weighted, aren't they?

I dunno, afaik they just come in different circumferences and you start with the widest one and work your way down.

I feel like I'm a professional pelvic floor exerciser.... Only because I had a post natal prolapse of the bladder and bowel

If you don't like doing PFE (who does??) then you can get these cone things called aquaflex - you can buy them in Boots. Basically they are small plastic cones which you put in the vagina for 20 mins per day. You work your way up by putting small weight in them so your pelvic floor muscles have to work harder to keep them in. They cost about £20

It promises that in 12 weeks you'll have a pelvic floor of steel
