GERD and bad breath

Hi,

I was diagnosed with GERD a few months ago. I'm still struggling to keep it under control. My throat gets quite sore most evenings, particularly if I'm under stress. The other symptom Is my breath, which can be quite bad from what my family say. I'm absolutely mortified about this. It can happen straight after I wash my teeth so I'm at a loss as to what to do. It's making me really conscious.

Can anybody give me any advice? Does it go after your GERD calms down? I've had this flare for months now despite my medication (Omeprazole) and I wonder if it'll ever go! I'd go to the GP in normal circumstances, but obviously not now as it's not an emergency. Thanks.
