A couple of weeks ago I had sudden sinus pain - it came on with a migraine but the migraines symptoms went and this pain never did - aching in left cheekbone/eye socket. It's particularly bad when I lean forward, cough, etc (anything that puts pressure on it).
I've had brown/green mucus when blowing my nose (once or twice a day) since but this week it's been bloody. I don't think I'm blowing excessively, once first thing, before bed and maybe once or twice in the day if it feels particularly blocked or stuffy but the blood is quite shocking when I blow.
I'm thinking just a sinus infection. Pain isn't bad enough to require any treatment but I'm wondering a) will it get worse if I leave it and b) could it be anything more sinister?
Reluctant to go to GP now for obvious reasons as long as it's nothing to be worried about.
