On/off earache?

Been suffering with an earache for a couple of weeks and it's driving me mad. Funny thing is it starts hurting in the evenings and then the next day it's fine, some nights the pain isn't there. Had a uti last weeks and mentioned the earache to my gp and she said it didn't sound like an ear infection for just gave me a short dose of antibiotics for the uti. Anyone ever had something like this? It's pissing me off.

Ive actually come on here to search this, ive had mine for a few days. It comes and goes. I have no idea whats causing it but its drivin me
Mad. Cant even go to the drs which is the worst part.
