pneumonia - getting it again

I've had pneumonia twice now - once 5yrs ago which left me in hospital for 2wks and last year at 12wks pregnant. I've got a stinking cold now and tight chest with nasty stuff coming up. Am i being paranoid or am i now more likely to get it again?

I think that chests are really tricky things .. certainly it can take over a year to recover from a serious infection

but also because its breathing it is easy for anxiety and panic to take over and exacerbate symptoms (I don't say this patronisingly .. I have been there and done that and have the flashing ambulance trips in my memory to prove it)

have you been to the doctors? are you on anti-b's

you have my sympathy ..

I haven't been yet - don't want to seem a fanny. Although, last time i got told off for not going sooner. And i totally know what you mean about the breathing/panic thing. I got sent home shortly after first bout with a paper bag!Think it's a heavy cold at mo,just interested in other peoples experiences really - don't know anyone in rl who's had it at my age (27 and then 3o).
Thanks

I had pneumonia at 20wks pg. Cons said immunity must be really low to develop pneumonia (rather than just chest infec) prob due to preg.

Usually old people, babies, immunsuppressed people get pneumonia so if you aren't one of these its probably not pneumonia.

GO TO THE DOCTORS

if you are coughing up shite (green, yellow whatever) and have a tight chest GO TO THE DOCTORS

serioualy I had 6 rounds of antibiotics .. it does not help to wait and let it grab hold
