Constipation.

I am not regular going to the toilet. Every 3 days or so. This has always been the case.
I've suffered with constipation throughout my life, but nothing like this.

It's been 6 days since I last pooed. I have studied senna and dulcolax.
They aren't shifting anything at all.
I feel bloated, heavy, sickly. It is not nice.

I am drinking loads of water and I eat plenty of fibre (due to previous constipation problems)

What do I do?
Do I see a doctor?
Do I wait a few more days?
I don't know what to do! Confused

I use movicol on prescription due to long term constipation. It may be worth seeing your doctor.

If you are constipated, hold off on having too much fibre as it will just build up behind the blockage, so to speak! Lots of fruit and veg.

I have long term constipation too. Only recently I've found the only things that work - Laxido in the morning and 2 senna after tea. I 'go' every day now.

Movicol or Laxido is available over the counter - cheaper than on prescription. Two a day will sort things out, I used to then take a “maintenance dose” of one a day. Its miserable isnt it 💋

I get prescriptions free (I have a prepayment certificate until July and I'm entitled to free now anyway as I have a lot of other health issues)
I'll make an appointment for the GP tomorrow if I've not had any luck by the morning.
