Hi everyone,
I’m feeling a bit desperado at the moment and just wondered if anyone else has had these symptoms or feels like this.
I have a 2 year old, I work 2 night shifts a week (24hours) and she goes into nursery one and a half days a week.
Since may 2019 I’ve been pretty much always ill with virally symptoms. Started with shingles, that went, had a break through the summer where I wasn’t too bad and then from October I had shingles again followed by hand foot and mouth, and since then have felt pretty much always drained. Any illness that is going I get it such as sinusitis, colds, sore throats, recently I had hand foot and mouth again (albeit a mild version) and a sore throat that has gone on for weeks. Now my symptoms have gone but I feel dog tired like I’m made of concrete. I felt slightly better end of last week today I woke up feeling like crap and have had to sleep for a few hours, woke up feeling the same. I had a few days off work the other week but I don’t feel much better. Went to doctors as I was concerned as the lack of energy was making me depressed (have anxiety and depression long term usually controlled and am on meds etc). They write it off as just being a mum etc. Having a blood test for prolactin levels as still lactating even though I stopped bf Oct 2018.
Also take ferrous sulphate once a day, vitamin d once a day.
Anyone else feel like this? I feel like all I’m good for is the scrap heap at the moment!

Perhaps get full bloods done eg Vit d levels etc. Possibly thyroid but if anything you'd have dried up to be honest, but worth ruling out.

I did catch everything my ds had and was extremely run down for a long time so you have my sympathies.

Thanks, had bloods today, hopefully it's just a run of viruses....

Were you taking any multivitamins or extra vit d after you had your baby?

I can't help thinking that the night shifts don't help though I know that's likely to be difficult to change.
