DH constant coughs and colds all winter

My husband literally has coughs and colds every year from October to March. Every year they get worse last longer and the more depressed he gets. We are on 3rd bout of bronchitis following his 12th cold. He picks up sickness bugs and things like conjunctivitis really easily as well. My kids are convinced he is going get corona virus!!! We have been together 15 years and he has always been susceptible but this is getting ridiculous now. He is literally out of action all winter. He has a balanced dirt eats fruit and veg and this year we have spent hundreds on vitamins but to no avail. In the summer he doesn't suffer too bad. He is very fit during the summer but in the winter as he is constantly below par he doesn't have the energy or inclination to run. Doctors just say eat more fruit and veg but he does. When he was little apparently he had all the infectious diseases and chicken pox 3 times and was always off school with something. Running out of ideas of what to do but I am getting seriously worried as affecting his mental health now.

Give him a high dose of vitamin D for a month (make sure he takes it after evening meal). Won’t need it after March then start again in October.

Maybe he needs to have his immunity checked. Maybe he has a low immune system x

Reminds me to take mine - just trying to get back in the habit again for this very reason!

Another possible thing is crap sinuses, I got mine routed out a few years ago and the difference is phenomenal. I've not had a proper cold since! I've had colds but nothing debilitating, whereas usually I'd lose January and more to snotty martyrdom...
