Anyone had a slightly elevated Vitamin B12 and it not be something life threatening

I recently had a blood test and the test results have come back. Surgery didn't even bother to tell me. I contacted them today and the lady at the reception told me that my vitamin b12 " was slightly elevated" as per the GP's notes on the system. The GP has marked it as " Satisfactory" but this particular GP is known for misdiagnosing and inaccurate advice ( not only me but others as well). She has given me and my IL's incorrect advice before which were contrary to consultants advice as well as her own colleague's advice. The receptionist said that they are not allowed to give me the readings over the phone and i cant go and collect the results today as it is raining and i have a toddler. So i have been looking things up on Google and it says an elevated Vit. B12 results could be related to liver disease (such as cirrhosis or hepatitis) Myeloproliferative disorders (for example, polycythemia vera and chronic myelogenous leukemia) or kidney disease which has got me really worried. Has anyone had slightly increased levels of Vit B12 which was not caused by any of the above? For info- i am taking Pregnacare Breastfeeding as i am ( kind of) breast feeding toddler. I say "kind of " as she doesnt want feeding all the time just about twice a day, or sometimes just once and i seem to be low on supply. I was wondering if the vit b12 in pregnacare could be causing this. Will be booking an appointment with my regular GP next week but worrying in the meantime.
Tia

I would imagine it's just the B12 from your supplement. I hope you get on okay with your GP, but try not to assume the worst. How are you feeling generally? Well? Why was the blood test done?

Thanks for replying. I was feeling exhausted so thought i could be low on my vit b12 ( oh the irony) or needed to up my thyroxine ( got an underactive thyroid when i got pregnant and it never went) . Apparently my thyroid levels are " borderline" and my gp has marked that as " satisfactory" as well. But this GP is an odd one the last time i needed to decrease my thyroxine she just said stop taking my thyroxine medication totally for a week and then start taking the same dose again after this. When i was pregnant my consultant told me that i should never stop it and therefore i booked an appointment with another GP and this second gp said that i need to decrease my thyroxine and do another blood test in x amount of weeks.

Did you get your ferritin level checked as well? Due to feeling exhausted?

I would definitely imagine that the vitamin B in the supplement have raised your levels a bit, but not by an amount that would raise concern.

My mil had this and was asked to stop taking the supplement she was on. She's been quite tired and actually thought it might be b12 as her mother had pernicious anaemia. Like you I read all those things but her Gp has just said to stop the vit for now.

I'd stop taking the vits; you could take a few things separately eg vit d and iron, b6.

They're going to review her again though, so I'd ask for a plan of action. My Gp can read over the phone btw. Ask if you can sign up to the Internet results, it's much easier for keeping track if your test results.

My doc referred me to haematology due to having consistently (slightly) raised b12, vitD and iron, even though I'd pointed out repeatedly that I suffer from fatigue so take a decent multivitamin...
Haematology were very confused as to why my referral had got through as they considered it all 'healthy' and were pleased that I was supplementing my diet with the right vitamins.
I was discharged.
