Apologies in advance that this is going to be a bit of a moan, but this is getting me down!
I've had migraines since I was 14 or so, with varying frequency and severity over the years. But since DD was born 18 months ago, they seem to be getting worse and worse (having completely disappeared during the pregnancy).
I take sumatriptan and it used to work well, but I'm getting on average 3, 4 headaches a month now and it does not ward it off as effectively as it used to. The most problematic thing, though, is that they will last ca. 2-3 days whereas before it would be 1 day, max.
The latest time, the whole weekend and yesterday were a write-off. I was sick again and again and I basically spent 2 and a half days lying in a dark room where any noise, light or movement made it feel like an axe being struck into my head! (A bit overdramatic, sorry...!)
OH says, go to the doctor and ask for other options... but is there anything they can do? Is it worth taking their time? Perhaps there is something I can do to help myself? I don't know!
Any advice very welcome xxx
