I can't suggest anywhere in Kent but Tootsies on the High Street in Barkingside, Essex, stock both Ricosta and Hush Puppies. My daughter has had both makes but I found Ricosta the better of the two. Barkingside might be a bit closer than Cambridge for you!! Their telephone number is 020 8550 0073.

You have my sympathies. My son has H width feet and when he was little he had a physio and he orthoric inserts as well. Finding shoes was a total utter nightmare.

I found a shoe shop called Precious Soles in potter's bar really good. They have their own private podiatrist as well.

This is very expensive so we have never tried it, but they make the shoes by hand to fit your child. You have to draw round your child's feet and make make measurements.

Pares also have a large branch in Blackheath. I find them fantastic for having a large range of brands. they do do ricosta - ds and dd both had them last winter (dd had boots and ds had some good winter shoes) and they were lovely shoes.

We go to the Golden Boot in Maidstone and find them great. We see the same lady each time and they were great when it was thought that my DD had problems with her feet. May be worth giving them a ring and speaking Jenny E. She is the lady we see. HTH.

We go to Kennedys in Canterbury and they are excellent - if a bit cluttered and disorganized and often very crowded. The Russell and Bromely franchise in Fenwicks in Canterbury is also very good.
