Mid abdominal pain

I know I should see the GP, and I will, but it’s currently only a minor/occasional issue.
I have recurrent pain mid abdomen, directly above my belly button, just below the breastbone, some times it radiates out a little either side.
It’s not indigestion, it’s a different pain, and it doesn’t always occur after eating, but sometimes does.
Pain is not terrible, but enough to cause discomfort for a few hours, then passes.
I’ve suffered from IBS for many years and this is different to that.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Could be hpylori. Probably best to see GP.

If it eases temporarily after drinking soda then it could be reflux.

Gallstones? Often worse after fatty foods (which may explain why not always painful after eating) and can cause a lightening to stool colour.

Thanks, these are all things I have considered.
I have a GP appointment next week, I just think it will be ‘keep an eye on it’ as I don’t have any other symptoms and the the pain isn’t excruciating.
