Embarassing issue how to mannage while waiting for GP

I am really struggling with loose and watery diarrhea particularly after eating which has been going on for the last 12 days. The earliest drs appointment I can get is next Wednesday and struggling to know how to mannage until then. I was initially sent by 111 to A&E as the symptoms and pain meant I fainted. After some fluids and painkillers and a ultrasound I was discharged with presummed gastroenteritis, but do not think this is true as no-one else has caught, I do not particularly feel unwell and it seems to be lasting too long. My blood tests were normal which I assume makes anything urgent or inflamitory less likely. I wonder if its connected to bowel endometriocis which I had removed a couple of years ago.

I am really struggling to knnow how to mannage. The hospital said to take paracetamol and drink lots of fluids but this really does not mannage the painthat wakes me up. A few people think I have lost weight,. However, really struggling to work as just want to lie down or run to the loo after eating but sickness / remote working is being tightly monitored at the moment and have already had a day off and a couple of days remote working.

Sorry for the long post but did not want to drip feed.

Stay at home! Don't work. You are ill. Give yourself permission to rest
Good luck! I'd send a flowers emoji but I don't know how to!

Also ring back 111 tell them you can't get an appointment they might be able to get you an earlier one

Ring up for an urgent appointment - usually you call as soon as docs opens and you’ll get an appt that morning. You can’t wait for over a week!

Ring up and ask for a same day appointment. At our surgery you call from 8am. You really shouldn't be in work.

Thanks phoned the GP and no same day left as a half day closure today. To be honest I am not sure how much they can do if I have had clear blood tests and scans in A&E.

I would really like to take some time off work, or even just remote in but I don’t think it will go down well as a lot of pressure is generally put on about being in.

Really struggling at the moment. Came in from work and just had to crash out for a couple of hour s and have then been woken with stomach pain. Have only been to the toilet twice but paracetamol is not hitting the pain. Desperate for the weekend to get some rest.

Can you get some codeine? Will help with the pain and is fabulous for making you constipated.

Pharmacy should have something over the counter.

Would you stop being a marter and put your health first?
Let them put pressure on you, don't take lots of short episodes of sickness take one long episode and focus on your health.

To be honest I am not sure how much they can do
Your pain isn't being managed effectively, phone 111 and aim for nothing less that an OOH call back where they can prescribe pain relief if necessary.
If you've been diagnosed with endometriosis have you been advised who to contact if symptoms return? Do that too.
Tomorrow, ring your GP again and if they have no emergency on the day appointments, ask for another call back, update the GP with new/continued symptoms and discuss your thoughts on endo.
If you can't get a call back, go to your nearest walk in centre.

Thanks not sure why i am bei ng so stupid at seeing a path through. Is there anything you would suggest saying to the GP to get a same day to fanily bereavement and the pressure of people being off on short term notes which get renewed. I think i could work from home and want to be as supportive as p pop ossible. in A&E my mannager was text ing asking me to pick up things from emails. She is normally supportive, but is findin things hard d due suppo
