I'm on the pill (combined). I've taken it for 25 years apart from two pregnancies (both planned).
Over the last three months, I've taken the pill, as normal, with my coffee in the morning. I have bled consistently. It's not like a full period, but like a light period. It certainly couldn't be described as 'spotting' though.
I have no idea what could be causing it, I've googled it but not really got much info. Could it be something to do with being peri-menopausal?
Could it be a sign of something more sinister?
I'm planning to go to the doctor as soon as I get a chance/appointment but was just hoping someone out there could give me some ideas.
I'd rather not come off the pill just yet if I can help it, although every time I've been to the dr over last couple of years (not even about period/pill things), he's tried to persuade me to come off it because of my age (45). This is probably why I've stalled going this time because I'm pretty sure he will insist I come off it if I'm having problems with it!
Thanks
