For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Whoa there Idris, that was damned close on the last thread

Well here we are. That was our most prolific thread so far. Sorry I was absent, grumpy and melon cauli for most of it. Was the prolificness related to my absence? Really?

no - I think your absence sent us into a bit of a whirling panic.

I love your title.

Oh the title credits what am I THINKING of

FMF thought of Melon Cauli, and I added the Smashing Pumpkins bit. Was going to put the whole Infinite Sadness thing but thought a bit of a downer on our sensitive souls

Idris you escaped by the seat of your pants I did it once on someone else's very long running thread and ended up having to email MNHQ and beg my post to be removed so the link to the new thread could be added

"Pomp And Circumstances"

When I was born I lost
When I was freed I fought
Now that I'm loved I'm caught
Between the rest and this tragic mess
An invited guest

Torn, broken and frayed
Oh don't we face
War, sunshine and grace
Oh won't you stay
For a while
We can fail in style
I can hold your smile
For a while

What was once new now gone
What was once praised now wrong
As they go, we can say we know
But what do we know
But warm sunshine and graves
Don't we see
What's bitter to taste

Torn, broken and frayed
Don't we face
War, sunshine and graves
Won't you stay

'Cause I won't tell
I won't tell a soul
That I'm mad as hell
Torn, broken and frayed
I'm torn, broken and frayed
No, I'm cold, worn out and shamed

I am trying desperately to stuff my face with good things after a week of less than wholesome.

I also waded through a lake of piss because of a misplaced pursuit of nature inspired by that bastard who wrote the woodsy book.

The holiday was lovely, thank you.

See, here it is.

How is everyone?

I did skim the other threads but may have missed something.

There was a mouse and Virginia Woolf and lots of style-anxiety that seemed to be induced by the meet-up. Is that right?

I will be disappointed if fvm doesn't wear the pirate boots.

I'm not kidding.

This man is dangerous (although paying attention to you mum is a good lesson to learn from the nettles).

but did you have cream teas, Linohart, did you?

Avi - What OU are you doing again?

I am stuffed full of mango cirry, weird spicy kebab things, some broccoli, cauli and potato thing, coconut rice.. four portions?

For those of you with flower fear, Valrhona Manjari orange chocolate is quite exceptional chocolate. Lots of chewy orangey nougaty bits.

Don't like orange? Not sure if we can be friends now..

I am very envious of your kitchen. I spend more than I have on good food and clean floors but if I could forgo some of that and save. That is a notion isn't it? Saving for a larger purchase? You seem very good at it. I am still at the one sweet now rather than two later stage of life. I must work on that.

Your course sounds extremely interesting. I did the humanities introduction. I enjoyed it but I suppose it is airy fairy.

My ds made a wand at the fairy fair and he's nearly ten. There may have been a potter lement to it though.
