Why has my throat started crunching when I swallow?

Started getting a weird, cartilage-y crunching sound/sensation at the base of my throat when I swallow.

Been going on for a few weeks now, and only really when I just swallow saliva - solid food is fine. It's not painful.

Google isn't much help and seems a bit minor to go to the GP but it's annoying and no idea what's causing it?

Has this happened to anyone else?

i get weird sensations when swallowing for tonsillitis or tonsil stones but just go to doctors.When in doubt check it out
