It’s late and I’m having a huge panic attack, is anyone awake? I haven’t had one like this in years. I’m trying to get through it but my husbands away and I’m struggling. Is anyone out there?

I’ve been getting skipped heartbeats the past 2 weeks but I woke up and am getting one every few seconds, they’re still happening and I’m in total panic. Trying to calm myself but struggling.

Not on any meds although right now I wish I was, I haven’t had this in a long time. My husbands abroad with work and I hate being alone feeling like this

My sleeping patterns are out of synch still from Christmas and New Year. Always happens. I don't mind so much as I catch up on watching old films.

Last night I watched To Kill a Mockingbird. Such a graceful film about a serious subject.

Is this related to your husband being away?

You're never alone with MN! Always someone about. Smile

I’ve woke up with what I think is a cold, and can’t go back to sleep. Do you have tv on so maybe you can concentrate on that?

I'm awake because of my snoring husband! I suffer with anxiety. A lot of it is focused on my health so I can see how the heartbeat thing would be stressing you out but just keep reassuring yourself that you're ok and that it's just a symptom of your anxiety. Tell us about your day to keep your mind off it

Could you make yourself a hot drink I find that comforting. My sleeping is rubbish at the mo, but I’ll feel like shit in the morning. Hope you’re starting to feel better.

Hello there. Do you fancy a snack?

What easy food is in your fridge? Yoghurt or a piece of cheese? Toast? Bowl of cereal?

Also how about a redbush or camomile tea?

Handhold and hug from me.

You just reminded me of a film I used to love called Bringing up Baby, I watched some of it online and that’s helped. I feel slightl my calmer but just wish these would stop. My GP said they’re ok but how can they be okay when they’re every few seconds like this all day every day, I used to get awful health anxiety and this is just making it all so much worse.

I’ve had some water but I don’t know what to have without caffeine or sugar in it.

It’s strange but comforting to think you are all up for your own reasons. Thank you 💐

Camomile or peppermint tea, you can't go wrong!
I'm up because my 2mo is refusing to sleep...

Panic attacks are horrible but we are strong and can get through this! Keep watching your film to take your mind off it. I really hope you feel better soon!!

Anything with Cary Grant is soothing. Smile

Part of this is about knowing yourself. For example, I catastrophise when stressed and have to work hard to stop it. I'm so much better than I was, chilled sometimes Wink

Logically your doctor has told you that all is well. Keep repeating that.

I forgot just how horrible they are! 2 months old 😍😍 My girls are 3 and 6 now, I’ve just gone through and checked on them and held their little hands, I love doing that while their sleeping. I’ve managed to find some decaf free green tea so getting back into bed to try it. I’ve given myself a huge headache now. Our bodies are so bloody horrible to us sometimes!

I hope you all manage to get some sleep tonight x thank you x
