What do you all do to relax in the evenings?

I want to stop drinking every night as it has become a habit which is obviously not very healthy. What do you do to relax in the evenings once the kids are in bed?

Mumsnet is a great one for recovering from too much exposure to kids.
Gardening in the summer, DVDs in the winter

Sometimes I talk to DH, but generally we are both so exhausted we just grunt at each other from opposite sides of the room!

kerry - at least neither of us would expect to talk to the other we could start a thread entitled "people in the living room with me"

Sex - what's that ? Healthier than boozing every night I am sure - think of all those calories you burn off. DH works most nights , not going to happen.

hmm

I find a good book the most relaxing of all

but if I haven't got a good book on the go, some mindless TV, sometimes cooking (sometimes I find it stressful, sometimes relaxing, depends on my mood), glass of wine, phone call to a friend

did you have a moment of fast heart beat there between the posts Pruni? a moment where a total blackout or internet disaster would have meant we were all picturing you at it like a rabbit every evening ?

I mumsnet, have a glass of wine (or two), watch TV
If I am trying to stay off the alcohol after dinner I brush my teeth , get into bed, and read a good book.
If I stay downstairs I open a bottle and watch Tv so have to be in a different surrounding
