Pharmacist or GP?

DC (12m) has conjunctivitis. Was going to pop down the pharmacy to see if I could get something over the counter but there's also now a rash around the eyes. Will they be able to give me something or will they send me to the GP?

3rd option - optician they can do so much more than eye tests

Probably neither see

But if your child does need antibiotics then GP as they are too young to have them bought in the pharmacy as it’s 2 years up (you could lie though about the age)

It's been going on a little while and getting worse rather than better despite careful cleaning. I've previously had the age problem at the pharmacy and they'd want to see him for this so not sure I can get away with adding another 12m to his age

Say it’s for you. Be mindful to state you don’t wear contact lenses

If you go to a medical professional, absolutely do not lie about the age of the child or say it's for you. There are good reasons for age restrictions on products and HCP need to have the correct information to be able to offer the correct advice.

Don’t lie about their age or pretend it’s for you! I’d pop into the pharmacy - nothing to lose as they might be able to help and saves you battling for a GP appointment.

I wouldn't lie about his age, he's on their records anyway as it's our regular pharmacy.

My GP surgery are very good and will always give a same day appointment with at least the paramedic if not a prescribing nurse or GP so no concerns there.

Not sure whether to ride it out a bit longer but aware there's a bank holiday in the middle. He's also due back at nursery this week.
