You can get Microlax or Microlette enemas over the counter (boots or similar) they work well and are tiny.
However glycerine suppositories are great (I have a non functioning bowel so they are the only way I 'go') Also available in Boots OTC.
Moisten, shove in and lie on your left side with a hot drink... usually work in 20 mins.

I used this when I had faecal impaction () with my second and third child. The relief - nice I could shove them up there - was immense and fairly quick
Help!!! Belly so swollen I look 6 months pregnant (and definitely not!) can't 'go' properly and have taken lactulose for two days now- just makes me have bad wind! Sorry TMI!!
Any advice welcome x
