About 3 months ago I banged the ball of my foot and bent my big toe back too far. It was very painful at the time but apart from a bit of bruising, there was no swelling or any other sign of injury.
After a week it was still painful, along the top where my foot joins my toe and also closer to my ankle. I went to the minor injuries clinic and they said it was ligament damage and that it would heal over time.
Three months on and it hasn't healed. It is still painful if I walk or stand for more than about 15 minutes. I've tried resting it for a day but as soon as I stood up, the pain came back.
Unfortunately I have a very active job where I'm on my feet all day, walking, crouching, stretching.
Now I don't know where to go for help. Back to minor injuries, speak to my GP or pay for something like a physio or osteopath?
Any advice, welcome. Thanks
Ask to be referred to physio but if you can I would pay for a session, you might well only need one.
