To think this is a symptom of breast cancer? (Picture)

I've noticed I have this dimpling on both of my breasts. I always thought it was stretch marks because I've had it for ages but I saw a post yesterday with a woman who had similar and people were urging her to go to the doctor because it looks like dimpling so I'm a tad worried.

I have included a picture where I've sort of pushed the dimpling together so its not usually this indented. Its above the nipple and on both breasts.

Do I need an appointment?

I'd go - if only because you are going to worry about it until you get it checked.

I would go but honestly both of mine look like that

Mine have looked like that for years, ever since breastfeeding really. I'd still get it checked to put your mind at rest though.

I'd say that was stretch marks. I have them. However do get them
Checked out if you are concerned. If it's on both breasts it's unlikely to be anything sinister.

Mine are like that and are stretch marks - they've been like that for years.

I have them too- they're just stretch marks! Have you lost any weight and put it back on? Or breastfed? I really really wouldn't worry

NHS in Scotland ran a really successful campaign "Don't get scared, get checked"

No harm in getting it checked although I agree it looks exactly like my stretch mark boobs after BFing 2!

Stretch marks I'd say.

They look like stretch marks. The dimpling referred to as a sign of breast cancer is usually one area of an obvious dimple.

Stretch marks, mine are the same. Go to your GP if you feel it would put your mind at rest. Dimpling I think is more like an orange peel look.

Stretch marks. The fact it seems on both breasts is a good sign. But get it checked to put your mind at rest.

I also would say stretch marks. But like anything with health/cancer. If I’m any doubt at all Always always get checked out, no matter how minuscule.

CoffeeCoinnesseur · 24/12/2019 11:55

Both of mine look the same, it's loose skin where I've lost some volume in my breasts.

But go get it checked out anyway, if nothing else it'll put your mind at rest.

Yes they look like stretch marks. But if you are worried then book an appointment with your g p. Always bet to check out.

Stretch marks. I have the same.

That looks like stretch marks to me, especially if you have them both sides. However, go get it checked anyway.

Here to say stretch marks too! However I'd get it checked to put your mind at ease xx

Get them checked out. A lot of women in my family thought they just had stretchmarks that then turned out to be cancer.

Please just go and get checked.

You would forever regret it if you didn’t and something was wrong, all for the sake of the popping to the doctors

ForeverBaffled · 24/12/2019 13:04

My post-breastfeeding breasts are identical! But yes always worth double checking for sure - don’t let it worry you though 🙂

If it's on both breasts, it's very unlikely to be anything sinister, but by all means make an appointment for your peace of mind.
