My access got suspended because they thought I'm a previously banned member (which I'm not), and it seems that my initial post has been deleted.

I've just got back from the hospital. My injuries are worse than I suspected. My wrist is broken and I have 2 hairline fractures in my arm and 6 fractured ribs. They kept me in overnight because my spleen is enlarged (or inflamed I can't remember the exact terminology), they were talking about a possible operation but I have been stable overnight so I have to go back on 27th for another ct scan to check that it is healing. The doctor said 'If we have to operate you're going to have to give us your real name, address and gp details'. He said that there was no way I sustained my injuries from a fall. He wasn't unkind but it was clear that he was annoyed that I had lied to him and I feel terrible.

I have to rest so I've had to take the rest of the week off sick which I can't really afford to do. Luckily I already had two weeks booked off as holiday over christmas and my boss said he will think of desk duties I can do when I return to work.

Thanks everyone for being so kind and supportive

I didn’t see your original post but whatever the background you’re obviously in a difficult situation and I hope you get the help you need Flowers

The level of injury you have sustained is not a poor person dealing with a bad time irrationally, it is a sustained and vicious attack. I know how worried you are but please consider even just reporting it. You are in a really dangerous situation and I think you need some proper support to be able to see it for what it is and then to get out of it altogether. Please take care of yourself.

Please contact Women’s Aid, you don’t need to go through this terrible ordeal alone

Are you the poster who wanted to go to A&E anonymously?

I'm so pleased that you got checked out and so sorry that you're so badly injured. I hope that you're soon in a position to get out of your situation.

Glad you have been checked out. You do need to consider steps to avoid the same occurring, or worse, in future and what support you need.

So this rather conclusively demonstrates that he isn't a nice guy trying to deal with some stuff. This is someone who violently attacked you, causing serious injury. Next time he might kill you. The police really would be the right way to go. And better for your ex to be arrested for GBH than to be arrested for your murder.

@TokyoSushi, yes I am the person who asked about anonymity at A&E, I gave false details but they saw through it.

I didn't think I was as badly injured as I am. I know I should go to the police but I'm can't deal with their judgement, I can hear how pathetic I sound!

I'm going to my sister's tomorrow, I will have to tell her what has happened and she will probably make me tell the police.

Thanks everyone
